what better place to write about my ideas for the webpage than on the actual webpage?
here you will find all thoughts on this website; future updates, ideas on potential updates,
thoughts on being a fan of this nerd shit because a lot of this is fueled by my raging fan boner... the good stuff.
while talk on future updates will be held here, all official updates will be kept on the Home page.
Returned a Sacred Text of Old back to its rightful place at the library: Making a Website: The Missing Manual by Matthew Macdonald. I read the final passages on floating div elements and images, css inheritance, and something about server-side inserts before it went down the book return chute. (by the way, if anybody knows if neocities allows for inserts, please lmk. haven't had any luck finding info on this topic online)
i realized that i only wanted one css file since everything is pretty simple-looking so far. it's a change i am happy to make, as it makes editing much easier. i am finally starting to visualize the end product in my markup, and it is an exciting thing. i would really like to get this update launched by the first of the month (insert audio clip). this weekend seems like a good time to make that happen, so we will see.
Signoff... 6/26 @ 5:55pm: i got scared to post it but then i got over that. i want to buy that book but i know it is time to move on. idk how i will recover
so, I have done a few hours' research and have decided that the details+summary combo works the best for the appearance i want to keep. I considered the button for a second, but found that the dropdown appearance is really what does it for me.
I haven't quite figured out the details(lol) on how to best utilize CSS to display text, but im still only working on the alpha so i'm not going to pull out all the stops for this one element. i would like to get fancy with the CSS, but for now that seems a bit far away. gotta keep it to functionality until it's published, at least.
next step is to transcribe some pages and prepare them for upload! would like to have at least one chapter uploaded before the end of Pride.
Signoff @ 4:00pm: did yall hear they confirmed P4R? It's probably going to be trash but I'll stil buy it like the typical SouyoxYuChie fan.
didn't do anything in May, and there's no way im going to create another section for a single entry.
i dropped all of my hobbies for a few weeks because i got a job offer. played rune factory 4 when i wasnt beat from being ND and in public. still was thinking about the site so had to come back
finishing the single page view for the Cr:K log i plan on writing. have to reference my bible to see what im looking for. tomorrow is my day off thankfully. my battery is drained so im not sure how much i'll be up for working on, though. i like reading my textbook. my coworker said it doesn't count as reading, but she just doesn't have experience reading a well written textbook.
it's alright. i'll go back to reading the supplemental sections and reviewing the chapter summaries. yeah i do read the acknowledgements. and i read the dedications.
alright i'm going back to coding goodbye
Signoff @ 10:11pm: having a smoko and watching DashieGames play the remaster Until Dawn, 7 months after the release. I didn't want to give him too many views because that game is pretty bad and racist, but I have to say this is a pretty good remaster. I believe minor changes to the mechanics are included in the term remaster, as opposed to remake. I'm not sure.
today is when the diary page will be live on the site. finally..!
i was juggling the Home page stylesheet, the Diary page stylesheet, and the Cookie Run: Kingdom stylesheet and it all became overwhelming to the point where I did no work on anything at all! typical mental disability moment
im very excited about this but I want to also state how happy i am to finally have enough brain space to work on the Cookie Run pages. The first one i want to post is not the page i have been working on, so i guess i should start on that now.
Signoff @ 7:20pm: the next page will likely be the alpha version of the CR:K episodes landing page. stay tuned in for updates!
finishing the structure for the css file. next step is to use colors and shit to place the shits
had this cool idea to center a div on the home page with clickable images that lead to these pages. i can't put my finger on the source, but its nostalgic to us in a way we'd like to mimic.
we would also like to rename the files to represent the version. in the offchance that there will be many updates, i want to use a name scheme as each updated look appears.
Last thought: hopefully my next diary entry will include a career update..!
finally marking up the diary page! it's exciting, and also irritating in every way.
having a separate section on the front page about recent updates would be useful.
